Quick fix: It only knows what you paste
Instead of Why was my application rejected?
Try Here is the rejection letter: [paste]. Here is what I applied for: [paste]. What reasons does the letter actually give, and what is worth addressing in a reply?
Paste the material. The model answers from what is in the conversation, and nothing else.
Why this works
It feels like the model should know — it sounds informed, and you have been talking for ten minutes. But it has no access to your files, your inbox or your history unless they are in the chat. Asked without the material, it does not say "I cannot see that"; it answers plausibly from patterns, which is how you get an answer that sounds right and is about somebody else's rejection letter. The judgement call is what to include: relevant material helps, and a full dump of everything buries the part that matters.
