Quick fixes AG-T002

Attach the file you are describing

Shared methods · A shared method; linked tool guides explain the exact steps.

Summarising a document from memory feeds the model your summary's errors. If the file exists, the file goes in — your description was the lossy copy.

Quick fix: Attach the file you are describing

Instead of I have a contract that says something like the deposit is refundable within I think 30 days unless…

Try Attach the contract: What does this actually say about deposit refunds? Quote the clause.

The document exists. Let the model read it instead of your memory of it.

Why this works

A description is a lossy copy filtered through what you noticed and how you remember it, and the question usually exists precisely because your reading was uncertain. Answering from your summary, the model inherits your summary's gaps and adds its own confident filler where details are missing. Answering from the attached document, it can quote, and a quoted clause is checkable against the page in a way "it seems refundable" never is.

When this applies

You are typing "it says something like", "roughly", or "I think" about a document, image, or spreadsheet that is sitting on your disk.

Template

Attached: [the file]. My question: [the question]. Quote the relevant part in your answer, so I can check it against the original.

Go deeper

What upload actually reads — page limits, images inside PDFs, spreadsheet handling — is files and PDFs. For a whole folder of files rather than one, that is a different mode. And quote-with-location as a verification habit comes from verifying what you cannot judge.
